CRIC Appoints New Chair Margaret Brigley and Other Executive Committee Members

TORONTO – June 28, 2024: The Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) is pleased to announce Margaret Brigley, CAIP, CEO & Partner of Narrative Research, as the new chair of its Board for a two-year term.  Brigley has served on the CRIC Board since 2019 and becomes the first women to chair CRIC.  She brings decades of leadership and research experience and is well positioned to lead the Board at a critical time as AI is poised to transform the industry.

CRIC extends it gratitude to Nik Nanos, CAIP, FCRIC, Chief Data Scientist and Founder of Nanos Research, who has served as Chair of the Board since August 2022.  Under his leadership, CRIC has launched its AI Committee, signed an agreement with the MRIA to unify the industry in Canada, held two successful national conferences, and grown its membership base.  Nanos will continue to serve on the CRIC Board and on the CRIC Executive Committee as the past-chair.

Sam Pisani, CAIP, Managing Partner, the Logit Group, will join the CRIC executive committee as Vice-Chair and Jason Zweig, CAIP, Managing Partner and Vice President, Canadian Viewpoint, will continue as Treasurer.

Following a call for nominations issued in May, Anastasia Arabia, CAIP, FCRICDiana LucaciSam Pisani, CAIP, and Jason Zweig, CAIP, were acclaimed to a new three-year term on the CRIC board.

“I thank Nik for his exceptional leadership that has enabled CRIC to continue to grow in size and influence over the past two years,” stated Margaret Brigley.  “I am eager to collaborate with the Board to advance CRIC’s role in helping members provide the quality insights that help businesses, governments, and not-for-profit organizations achieve their goals.”
