Post-debate, and less than a week from election day, the Liberal Party maintains its commanding lead across Atlantic Canada.
Across the region, eligible voters are clearly decided in terms of who they plan to vote for in the election. Little movement is evident post-debate and few (6%) are undecided in their voting intentions.

Post-debate, when considering voting intentions among decided voters, as well as those who have already voted in advance polls (n=1162), the Liberal Party holds a strong lead with two-thirds (66%) supporting Liberals in the upcoming federal election. One-quarter (26%) plan to vote or have voted for the Conservative Party, while one in sixteen (6%) support the NDP. Few plan to vote or have voted for any other party including either the Green Party or the People’s Party of Canada.
Consistent with pre-debate findings, voting intentions are generally consistent across the Atlantic region. The Liberal Party leads in all provinces, age groups and genders. Of note, residents aged 55+ are more likely than other age groups to support the Liberals, and women are more likely than men to support the Liberals.
“With approximately half of survey respondents having voted in advance polls, and the remaining being decisive in their voting intentions, findings suggest that Mark Carney has turned the Liberal Party’s fortunes around in our region,” said Margaret Brigley, CEO & Partner of Narrative Research.
These results are from an online survey of 1,325 Atlantic Canadian eligible voters from Narrative Research’s East Coast Voice online general population panel. The survey was conducted April 21–22, 2025. Data have been weighted by region, age and gender to reflect the overall adult population of Atlantic Canada. As a non-probability online sample, a margin of error is not applied, however, for comparison purposes, overall results from a probability sample of this size would have a margin of sampling error of ± 2.7 percentage points, 95 out of 100 times.
